Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Team Leader to supervise production lines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure safety, quality, and throughput by directing a team, assigning shifts, and driving Lean initiatives. You will coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance to address issues and meet production goals.

You will monitor timekeeping, training, and attendance while enforcing safety guidelines and participating in weekly safety and production reviews to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED required.
• Experience: Team Leader experience.
• Graduate of Team Leader Academy or college degree.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality, and production rules are followed and enforced.
• Direct and supervise employees to meet production and safety goals.
• Define weekly staffing plans based on production volume and start of shifts.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Participate in weekly reviews comparing Sales Order info and BOM to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Supervisors and the Superintendent to resolve issues hindering schedule.
• Work with Engineering to resolve build process issues affecting quality or safety.
• Communicate with Production Manager and ME/Maintenance Manager on tooling and safety.
• Oversee timecards, attendance, vacation approvals, and related duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
