Job summary

Great Dane is seeking an Operations Manager to direct all production activities at the Terre Haute plant. You will guide staffing, safety, quality, and cost targets while maintaining a strong focus on meeting delivery schedules and driving Lean manufacturing improvements.

The role requires prior leadership in manufacturing, proven problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to train and motivate teams. This on-site position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of safety culture and compliance.
• Ability to present information to groups of managers and customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance across the plant.
• Plan staffing based on production volume and shift start readiness.
• Pursue and achieve PQTC/Lean production goals.
• Lead Lean initiatives on the shop floor and drive continuous improvement.
• Supervise and develop direct reports and coordinate with plant staff.
