Job summary

Great Dane in Terre Haute, IN is seeking an Operations Manager to guide all plant production activities. You will lead production teams, shape staffing, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency to meet delivery schedules and cost targets.

You will implement Lean manufacturing practices, manage start-of-shift readiness, and coordinate with plant management to sustain continuous improvement. A Bachelor’s degree and several years in manufacturing leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with several years in manufacturing leadership.
• Progressive leadership in a manufacturing environment with welding, fabrication, and assembly line familiarity.
• Extensive Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant production, supervise staff, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Define staffing plans, prepare for shifts, manage defects and scrap, and drive root-cause actions.
• Guide daily/weekly coordination and optimize workflows with PQTC and Lean.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and performance reviews.
