Job summary

Great Dane in Terre Town, IN seeks an Operations Manager to guide all production activities, supervise staff, and shape production strategies to meet delivery, line rate, quality, and cost while ensuring safety.

You will implement PQTC, drive Lean initiatives, manage staffing, training, performance reviews, and maintain the production schedule, with a strong emphasis on safety and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 3–5 years related experience.
• Progressive leadership in a manufacturing environment with familiarity of welding, fabrication, and assembly line operations.
• Lean Manufacturing experience strongly desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of a safe culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety rules compliance across the plant.
• Plan staffing and start-up readiness for shifts; manage rework and defects; implement root cause actions.
• Drive PQTC production goals and align with customer delivery.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor.
• Lead and develop teams; recruit, train, evaluate and motivate staff.
• Coordinate with plant management to resolve issues and maintain schedule.
• Define processes to create efficient workflows and pursue improvements.
• Assist with plant compliance and company regulations.
