Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct trailer production activities across multiple lines, ensuring schedules are met and products conform to engineering drawings. The role focuses on safety, quality, and team leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include staffing planning, line readiness, and implementing lean initiatives while coordinating with engineering and maintenance to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Team Leader experience and/or completion of Team Leader Academy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read blueprints and customer specifications.
• Welding/paint certifications as required.
• Must be able to stand/walk 8–12 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct production team to meet safety, quality and output goals.
• Plan staffing for weekly production based on volume and schedule shift readiness.
• Review and implement 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
• Manage timecards, attendance, vacations, and performance evaluations.
• Communicate safety topics from weekly meetings and enforce guidelines.
• Coordinate with other supervisors and engineering to resolve build issues.
