Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Superintendent to coordinate and direct production activities, ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget and quality targets. You will lead Supervisors, develop successors, and drive continuous improvement across shifts and departments.

The role emphasizes safety, standard work, and lean execution, with collaboration across plant leadership and functional managers. Travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or high school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in production leadership in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to develop teams and drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Experience coaching frontline leaders and managing performance.
• Ability to read production drawings and use Excel for analysis.
• Willingness to travel <5%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct production supervisors to drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
• Develop supervisors through feedback, mentoring, training, and succession planning.
• Define labor staffing plans and line readiness for shift start-ups.
• Implement root-cause corrective actions and lean initiatives.
• Foster leadership meetings, shift handoffs, and development discussions.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies.
