Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is hiring for a Pick & Prep role focused on engaging guests, preparing products, and delivering a memorable shopping experience. You will actively demonstrate product prep, sampling, and suggestive selling while upholding company standards.

The role requires knife skills demonstration, strong guest service, and the ability to manage the Pick & Prep area with careful attention to quality, sanitation, and safety. Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate ability to learn multiple tasks and knife skills.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• Provide superior guest service with storytelling about products, highlighting Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and Local attributes.
• Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
