Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is hiring for a Pick & Prep associate to prepare products and engage guests, creating a sensory, engaging experience. You will demonstrate knife skills, ensure high product quality, and maintain sanitation in the department.

Responsibilities include active sampling, storytelling about fresh local products, and performing duties as assigned by management to support guest service and sales goals.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality required.
• Ability to actively engage guests and have fun.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate knife skills and willingness to learn multiple tasks.
• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and suggestive selling.
• Provide superior guest service and storytelling about products (Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, Local).
• Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Handle product prep, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
