Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Pick & Prep Associate to engage guests through live product preparation, sampling, and suggestive selling. You will demonstrate knife showmanship and operate the Pick & Prep area to high standards while ensuring product quality and department sanitation.

Ideal candidates are friendly, communicative, able to lift 25 lbs regularly, and 18 years or older, with the ability to learn multiple tasks and follow directions from supervision.

• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and knife skills.
• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with, and take direction from supervision.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service at all times and share product stories highlighting benefits.
• Showcase knife skills and Pick & Prep services to guests.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area following merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
