Job summary

Safran Seats USA seeks a Product Line Engineer 2 to ensure geometric integrity and technical maturity of products through lifecycle development on moderate scope. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to enhance quality, manufacturability, and reliability, with supervision.

The role emphasizes CAD management, product architecture, and design reviews supporting global airline seating programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field; 12 years experience accepted in lieu of degree
Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field preferred
5+ years design/product development experience with bachelor’s; 1 year with master’s

Responsibilities

Identify cosmetic and functional requirements.
Participate in and analyze initial product volumes in early phase.
Ensure documentation of dimension chains by different disciplines.
Establish PBS (Product Breakdown Structure) in line with architecture.
Create and maintain the Digital Geometric Reference Model (DMU).
Allocate volumes for integration into the digital model per functional requirements.
Update digital model with product maturity and interfaces.
Prepare 3D/2D digital and physical model reviews.
Check milestone deliverables against maturity requirements.
Provide required DFMEA data and participate in risk mitigation.
