Job summary

Safran Seats USA is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to help develop and ramp high‑quality passenger seats. You will work with a cross‑functional team to implement manufacturability and process improvements across assembly and testing steps.

The candidate will review drawings, create work Instructions, and support launches to maintain seating quality and efficiency for global customers.

Qualifications

• Education aligned with engineering disciplines or 6 years related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Six Sigma or lean certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical development of a product from conception to production.
• Use core tools such as PFMEA, DFMA, control plans.
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, tooling to resolve issues.
• Review and approve engineering drawings per DFM guidelines.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions.
• Ensure design and process meet quality standards.
• Support production during new product launches; address issues.
• Suggest design/tolerance/process improvements.
