Job summary

Safran Seats USA in Texas seeks a Design Engineer 2 to join the Research, design and development team. You will participate in design coordination of seats and components for major airlines worldwide, delivering high quality, innovative seating solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering and 3+ years of design experience, proficiency with CATIA V5 or Pro/Engineer, and ability to create layouts and drawings.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree (or 12+ years related experience in lieu).
• Proficient drafting skills in CATIA V5 or Pro/Engineer.
• Ability to generate layouts and program design studies.
• Able to read/write English communications clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design coordination of seats and seat components.
• Prepare layouts, sub-assemblies, and drawings.
• Review specifications and ensure conformance to requirements.
• Submit drawings to project lead for approval and release.
• Coordinate with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
