Job summary

Safran S.A.’s Seats division is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrialization Engineer to oversee product development from concept to production. You will work with engineering, operations, tooling, and other departments to ensure quality and manufacturability.

The role emphasizes DFMA, PFMEA, control plans, and the creation of robust work instructions. Experience with CATIA V5 and Lean/Six Sigma practices is highly valued, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Six Sigma or lean certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical development of a product from conception to production.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, tooling and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Review and approve or reject engineering drawings according to DFM guidelines.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions for manufacturing.
• Support production areas during new product launches to address issues quickly.
• Propose design or processing changes to resolve production problems.
• Design and develop processes to meet volume and quality targets.
• Attend design reviews and provide manufacturability feedback.
