Job summary

Safran Seats USA is seeking a Reliability Engineer 3 to contribute to the development of high‑quality aircraft seating solutions. The role collaborates with design, certification, manufacturing, and field teams to reduce downtime and enhance product reliability across seat platforms.

You will establish reliability models, perform DoE-based test planning, and support life‑cycle assessment of seats and components in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace Engineering or related field, or 12+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and reliability concepts (RMA).

Responsibilities

• Check maturity test plans and test reports for technical accuracy.
• Oversee Accelerated Stress Testing (AST).
• Assess completed test results for acceptability.
• Perform MTBF, MTBUR and FMEA calculations.
• Define test methods on new designs to ensure robustness.
• Build reliability prediction models for product functionality.
