Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, TX is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer 2 to join our aerospace seating team. You will contribute to design and development of electrical systems for aircraft seats, collaborating with cross-functional groups to deliver reliable solutions.

You will read wiring schematics, work with Pro-E and Catia V5 CAD tools, troubleshoot, and generate specifications under guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools Pro-E and Catia V5.
• Knowledge of electrical installation and system integration.
• Ability to interpret wiring schematics and system diagrams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Read wiring schematics and system block diagrams.
• Basic AC/DC theory.
• Communicate with multiple organizations including a customer on projects.
• Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently.
• Check engineering packages and generate/revise specifications with some guidance from senior engineers.
