Job summary

RTX Tucson, AZ is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to join the Hardware Engineering Team’s CPR department. You will lead internal design activities for PCB and CCA, driving producibility and cost goals from concept to manufacturing.

You will collaborate with SMEs across disciplines, manage schedules, review TDPs, and travel to supplier sites as needed. This role requires a bachelor’s in electrical/computer engineering and a proactive, cross-functional mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or projects with ability to multi-task and establish schedule based on priorities.
• Self-starter that seeks to connect the dots between engineering disciplines and actively reaches out to SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews for PCB and CCA designs from inception to manufacturing.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
• Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Package to ensure IPC adherence.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses.
• BOM development and management.
• Review supplier data and lessons learned to ensure product excellence and continual improvement.
• Travel to visit suppliers.
