Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to join the CPR team. You will lead internal design activities, optimize electronic hardware for producibility, and collaborate with procurement and assembly experts to meet cost and cycle-time goals.

This onsite role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering, cross-functional experience, and a proactive problem-solver mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
Experience leading cross-functional teams or projects with ability to multi-task and establish schedule based on priorities.
Self-starter who connects engineering disciplines and actively reaches out to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Responsibilities

Host and facilitate design reviews with a multi-disciplined team for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) designs from inception to manufacturing.
Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Package (TDP) to ensure adherence to IPC specs.
Perform design for manufacturability analyses.
BOM (Bill of Materials) development and management.
Review supplier data and lessons learned to ensure product excellence and continual improvement.
Travel to visit suppliers.
