Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to join the Hardware Engineering team. You will lead PCB and CCA design from concept through manufacturing, ensuring producibility and design for manufacturability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive schedules, review TDPs, and help optimize hardware for cost, performance, and reliability across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or projects with ability to multi-task and establish schedule based on priorities.
• Self-starter that seeks to connect the dots between engineering disciplines and actively reaches out to SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews with PCB and CCA designs from inception to manufacturing.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
• Generate drawing notes and review TDP to ensure adherence to IPC specs.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses.
• BOM development and management.
• Review supplier data and lessons learned to ensure product excellence and continual improvement.
• Travel to visit suppliers.
