Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in Norwalk, CA is seeking a Produce Manager to lead the Produce Department, ensure quality, inventory control, and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will coach team members, adjust schedules, participate in meetings, and work with the Store Manager on hiring decisions while maintaining safety and regulatory standards. This role requires flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have 1-3 years of experience in grocery retail with management in produce.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and maintain cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack for moving pallets up to 20 feet.
• Move six-wheel carts and walk up to 5 miles in an 8 hour shift.
• Maintains Food Handlers permit and flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales and financial goals.
• Ability to be outgoing, friendly and customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the sales and operation of the Produce Department.
• Quality control, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Manage inventory and schedule staffing for productivity.
• Coach team members, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
• Attend in-store meetings and collaborate on promotions.
• Recruit, hire, and promote in collaboration with Store Manager.
• Lead a team to deliver high product quality and service.
• Serve as Key Carrier/MOD as needed.
