Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with basic math, weights and measures knowledge.
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain sanitation in the department.
• Adhere to safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations including FOOD handler permit.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying and rotation of items.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver the finest quality of product and customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Produce team.
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain produce equipment.
• Ensure the execution of all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations and train others.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a dynamic team.
