Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Austin is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead one of our busiest teams, helping customers make healthy food choices with outstanding service. You will assist the Produce Manager with merchandising, inventory, and staff supervision in a fast-paced store.

You’ll hire, train, and develop the Produce team, maintain freshness and safety standards, and ensure excellent customer experiences while supporting store-wide goals and growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with basic math knowledge and weights/measures.
• Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with good communication.
• Ability to interact with customers and lead a team.
• Perform general housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavy objects.
• Must follow safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and have a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory, product quality, and team supervision.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness by receiving, processing, pricing, signage, display, and rotation.
• Lead a team to deliver quality product and high customer service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, and training the Produce team.
• Unload deliveries and operate produce equipment.
• Enforce company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
