Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Produce Manager to help customers make healthy choices and lead one of the busiest store teams.

You will support the Produce Manager in daily operations, merchandising, inventory control, and staff development in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes high standards of freshness, customer service, and teamwork, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
• Adhere to all safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations including COOL, and achieve and maintain a Food Handler’s permit.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the work day and lift/maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs., etc.
• Be able to use a pallet jack to move pallets a distance up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of items.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver the finest quality product and highest level of service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Produce team.
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations.
