Sprouts Farmers Market in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead a busy Produce team and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining fresh, high-quality produce.

You will support the Produce Manager with ordering, inventory, scheduling, training, and safety compliance in a fast-paced store. This role offers growth opportunities in a growing retailer focused on healthy living.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain safety/health regulations.
• Must obtain a Food Handlers permit and comply with safety regulations.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. and use a pallet jack as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through receiving, processing, pricing, and rotation of items.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality product and great customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Produce team.
• Unload deliveries and operate produce equipment.
