Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager in Austin, TX. You will lead one of the busiest store teams, ensure product quality, assist in ordering and inventory, and drive exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating merchandising, maintaining freshness standards, hiring and training staff, and upholding safety guidelines to create a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math knowledge.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication and ability to take directions in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain department cleanliness and safety.
• Follow safety, health, and Weights and Measures guidelines and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
• Able to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Order and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards: receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, display, and rotation.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality product and customer service experiences.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, and training the Produce team.
• Unload deliveries and operate produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
