Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Planner for a Houston project. You will support material planning and coordination, identifying required materials and storage/shipping details, and report material statuses for installation to ensure timely delivery on site.

Requires a University degree with 1–2 years of experience or 5–6 years of related work; strong knowledge of procurement, MS Office, and cross‑functional coordination with buyers, suppliers, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of procurement, purchasing, and supply chain processes.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining procurement records and documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and project personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and use procurement and materials management systems.

Responsibilities

• Material coordination at the jobsite to ensure accurate reporting of material and equipment work package statuses.
• Monitor inventory control mechanisms and use supply chain automation tools.
• Prioritize material availability to align with installation schedules.
• Coordinate material availability with design revisions, rework, or contingency plans.
• Attend planning meetings to stay updated on installation priorities and changes.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for direct-to-installation material issuance.
