Job summary

• Basic understanding of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or business operations principles.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate with suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze information, maintain accurate records, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn procurement and purchasing systems.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and ethical business practices.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Engineering to assist and/or guide them in the preparation of material requisitions for the procurement of materials and equipment and to achieve the understanding needed to process these requisitions
• Forms bid packages and issues bid requests; coordinates bidders' questions; and receives bidder proposals
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations to award
• Prepares and commits purchase orders within their authority
• Communicates with suppliers and personnel within Bechtel to establish clear definition of requirements and to assure supplier performance to the obligations within the purchase order
• Identifies, defines, and secures agreement regarding purchase order changes
