Job summary

Bechtel Corporation's Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) unit is designing and building an API manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This role supports material planning and coordination to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for installation, with a focus on accurate reporting and proactive scheduling.

You will work closely with project controls, procurement, warehouse teams, and construction crews to verify requisitions, monitor inventory, and communicate lookahead plans.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of receiving, material handling, warehousing, inventory control, and storage practices.
• Ability to inspect incoming materials, verify quantities and documentation, and maintain accurate receiving and inventory records.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with procurement, suppliers, warehouse personnel, and project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and use computerized materials management and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs material coordination activities to ensure accurate reporting of work package statuses.
• Monitors min-max inventory control mechanisms and uses Digital Supply Chain tools.
• Continuously performs priority allocations to ensure material availability ahead of installation.
• Coordinates material availability for design revisions, rework, contingency or work-around plans.
• Prepares site constructability reports with 30, 60, and 90-day lookaheads.
• Maintains detailed material planning with procurement and warehouse teams to support installation.
