Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or business operations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and project teams.
• Ability to review purchase requests, track orders, and maintain procurement records.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet project schedules and procurement compliance.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Engineering to assist and/or guide them in the preparation of material requisitions for the procurement of materials and equipment and to achieve the understanding needed to process these requisitions.
• Forms bid packages and issues bid requests; coordinates bidders’ questions; and receives bidder proposals.
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations to award.
• Prepares and commits purchase orders within their authority.
• Communicates with suppliers and Bechtel personnel to establish clear definition of requirements and to assure supplier performance to the obligations within the purchase order
