Job summary

Microsoft is seeking an Asset Procurement Administrator for a contract role onsite in Redmond, WA. You will manage hardware assets, procurement processes, and asset lifecycle activities to ensure employees have required equipment.

Responsibilities include inventory tracking, onboarding/offboarding support, budget monitoring, reporting, and process improvements across engineering, finance, procurement, HR, and admin teams. 40 hours per week, standard business hours.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in asset management, procurement, inventory management, or admin support.
  • Experience managing hardware inventories or asset tracking systems.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities including purchase orders, vendor coordination, invoicing, budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle of hardware assets including procurement, inventory, deployment, tracking, recovery, and disposition.
  • Maintain asset inventories and equipment records using Microsoft systems.
  • Order, distribute, track, and manage standard hardware and peripherals.
  • Coordinate procurement activities: purchase requests, vendor interactions, PO tracking, invoicing support, and budget monitoring.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding by provisioning equipment and coordinating transition logistics.
  • Evaluate returned devices for reuse and redeployment readiness.
  • Monitor hardware budgets, spending trends, forecasts, and procurement activities.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, inventory records, and reports.
  • Partner with operations teams to support readiness and employee programs.
  • Provide reporting and analysis on asset utilization, inventory levels, and budget performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, automation, and asset management processes.

Asset Procurement Administrator (Contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Asset Procurement Administrator to support a large engineering organization responsible for managing hardware assets, procurement processes, and business operations functions. This role serves as a critical operational partner, overseeing asset lifecycle management, inventory tracking, onboarding and offboarding support, budget monitoring, and procurement activities to ensure employees have the equipment and resources needed to be successful. The successful candidate will manage a broad portfolio of hardware assets and peripherals while partnering with stakeholders across Business Operations, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, and Administrative teams. This role requires strong operational discipline, inventory management expertise, procurement experience, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment. This position is fully onsite in Redmond, Washington, and operates Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware assets, including procurement, inventory management, deployment, tracking, recovery, and disposition activities.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories and equipment records using Microsoft systems and operational tracking tools.
  • Order, distribute, track, and manage standard hardware, peripherals, accessories, and business equipment.
  • Coordinate procurement activities including purchase requests, vendor interactions, purchase order tracking, invoicing support, and budget monitoring.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities by coordinating equipment provisioning, device setup, asset recovery, and transition logistics.
  • Evaluate returned devices for reuse, facilitate re-imaging processes, and ensure equipment readiness for redeployment.
  • Monitor hardware budgets, spending trends, forecasts, and procurement activities to maintain alignment with approved budgets.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, inventory records, process guides, reports, and asset management procedures.
  • Partner with business operations teams to support organizational readiness, employee support programs, and operational initiatives.
  • Provide reporting and analysis related to asset utilization, inventory levels, procurement activities, and budget performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, automation, and asset management processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, finance, procurement, administrative, and business operations teams to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support for special projects and business needs as required.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in asset management, procurement, inventory management, hardware operations, business operations, or administrative support.
  • Experience managing hardware inventories, asset tracking systems, equipment deployment, or hardware lifecycle operations.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, including purchase orders, vendor coordination, invoicing, budget tracking, or purchasing processes.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and related business applications.
  • Experience maintaining records, documentation, inventories, operational processes, and reporting dashboards.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding, equipment provisioning, or workplace operations preferred.
  • Experience with hardware procurement, asset lifecycle management, vendor management, or inventory control preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and technologies.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, supplies, and packages up to 25 pounds.
  • Previous experience within a technology company or supporting engineering organizations is preferred.
Additional Details
  • Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite, 5 days per week)
  • Duration: Initial contract with potential extension based on business need, budget, and performance.
  • Pay Range*: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
  • Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
  • Overtime: Not anticipated; requires prior approval if needed.
  • Job Status: Non-Exempt
  • Equipment: Supplier-provided laptop, mouse, and headset.
