Qualifications

• Game development studio experience is a bonus.
• Degree in IT or related field preferred; Microsoft certs are assets.

• Experience supporting multiple operating systems.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage hardware inventory and procurement.

Support Engineer (Contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Summary

We are a passionate team dedicated to bringing beloved strategy and thinking games to players around the world. We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support and Procurement Specialist to join our studio and play a hands‑on role in ensuring our technology infrastructure runs smoothly. This individual will work closely with studio leadership and partner teams to address IT needs, manage hardware procurement, and contribute to the seamless delivery of world‑class gaming experiences. This is a fully onsite, Monday through Friday role requiring a committed professional ready to grow with the team long‑term.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with Studio Management, Directors, and Leads to understand and act upon the studio's IT-related needs
• Perform PC hardware procurement, setup, and recycling
• Field requests for information technology services, repairs, upgrades, support, inquiries, and complaints
• Manage PC and parts inventory for the studio
• Handle user account management and administration
• Provide IT support internally and externally to partner teams involved in game creation
• Engage with larger IT teams to align on best practices and resolve technical concerns
• Perform heads-down work on lab machines for automated testing
• Maintain strong documentation practices across all IT processes and workflows
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing project work and break‑fix resolutions

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of overall IT experience with at least 2 years in a procurement‑focused position
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft services such as Azure Active Directory and Azure DevOps
• Minimum 3 years of experience with scripting languages including Python, C#, or PowerShell
• Minimum 3 years of experience with strong technical documentation practices
• Prior experience in a game development studio environment is a welcome bonus but not required
• Degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies or IT infrastructure are an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft services including Azure Active Directory and Azure DevOps
• Scripting experience in Python (required), with additional familiarity in C# or PowerShell considered a strong asset
• Experience supporting multiple operating systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid documentation skills with the ability to produce clear, organized technical records
• Ability to manage hardware inventory and procurement processes efficiently
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities across hardware and software environments
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced studio environment

Additional Details

• Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)
• Duration: 9 months
• Pay Range*: $35.50 - $40 per hour
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
• Job Status: Non-Exempt
