Job summary

Olin Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Independence, MO. The role supports operations, maintenance, and safety teams to drive manufacturing excellence through continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

You will lead hands-on projects and contribute to small capital projects from justification to installation. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Industrial, Mechanical, or Metallurgical engineering with a 3.0+ GPA, and able to work full-time during rotations.

Qualifications

• Majoring in Industrial, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering as an undergrad.
• GPA at least 3.0 on 4.0 scale; official transcript required each term.
• Must have completed sophomore year before first rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the rotation.
• Support maintenance in development of preventive/predictive maintenance policies.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements for small caliber ammunition production.
• Collect and communicate data to support engineering projects and process improvements.

Education

Industrial, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering degree

GPA 3.0 or higher

Sophomore year completed (60 credits)
