Job summary

Olin is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern (Summer 2027) in Independence, MO. The role focuses on QA and continuous improvement, with hands-on exposure to QMS, audits, data analysis, and cross-functional problem solving. Housing stipend is available to support interns.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited engineering program, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and have completed sophomore year. U.S. citizen status is required for access to ITAR data and site security; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing an engineering degree.
• Must maintain a 3.0+ GPA on a 4.0 scale; official transcript required each term.
• Experience in ammunition or firearms preferred.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credit hours) before first rotation.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; no virtual work.
• Access to ITAR controlled data; requires export license approval.
• Successful vetting as an Employee Possessor per DoJ/ATF.
• Independence Location Only: U.S. citizen required for access policies.

Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance activities to ensure products meet standards and customer requirements.
• Assist with audits to identify quality concerns and improvement opportunities.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to support performance tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, and business teams to resolve quality-related concerns.
