Job summary

Olin is seeking a Process Engineer Co-Op for Spring 2027 in multiple locations, including Independence, MO. The role supports operations, maintenance, and safety teams to drive manufacturing excellence, emphasizing continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

It may participate in small capital projects from justification to installation processes. The incumbent will lead at least three hands-on projects, assist in developing preventative/predictive maintenance procedures, and identify process

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate Industrial, Mechanical, or Metallurgical degree program.
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale during the program.
• Sophomore year completed (60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Experience or familiarity with ammunition or firearms is preferred.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; no virtual work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term.
• Support maintenance in developing policies and procedures for preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements in ammunition production.
• Collect, process, and communicate data to support engineering projects and process improvements.
