Job summary

Olin is seeking a Process Engineer Co-Op for Fall 2027–Spring 2028 at East Alton, IL. This 6-month program supports operations, maintenance and safety teams in manufacturing excellence through continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

You must be enrolled in an undergrad Mechanical Engineering program with a 3.0+ GPA, be eligible to work in the United States, and able to work 40 hours/week. ITAR access and background vetting apply.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited college pursuing an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree.
• GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale; official transcript required each term.
• Experience in ammunition and firearms preferred.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week); no virtual work.
• Access to ITAR controlled data requires approved export license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the term.
• Support maintenance in developing preventive/predictive maintenance policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in small caliber ammunition production.
• Collect and communicate data to support engineering projects and process improvements.
