Illumina, Inc. in Hayward, California is seeking a Process Development Engineer to collaborate with field and manufacturing teams to voice customer needs and improve manufacturing and field processes.

You will troubleshoot elevated customer issues and lead initiatives to enhance customer experience while reducing service costs. Role requires travel to global customer sites on short notice.

Formación

• High level problem solving and reasoning skills required.
• Experience with statistics, statistical process control and DOE techniques is a plus.
• Intermediate level programming knowledge is strongly desired.
• Good interdepartmental communication and documentation skills are required.
• Experience with product development processes and project management is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in process sustaining, improvement and development of quality test activities in production and service of genetic sequencers.
• Troubleshoot production line issues related to yield, quality and throughput.
• Construct and execute controlled experiments to optimize processes and drive solutions.
• Analyze process test results, issue reports and make technical recommendations.
• Travel to global customer sites with limited advance notice to support instrument troubleshooting when required.
