Job summary
Illumina is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of complex sequencing instruments. You will troubleshoot issues, deliver timely service, and maintain strong customer relationships across sites in Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher and 2–6 years of related experience.
- Biotechnology/Biomedical industry knowledge preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% and work onsite.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain Illumina platforms on customer sites.
- Troubleshoot complex customer-reported problems remotely and on-site.
- Monitor tasks to maximize instrument uptime and customer satisfaction.
- Complete post-repair/install validation runs as required.
- Manage SFDC case workflow and escalate repairs as needed.
- Build and strengthen customer relationships and coordinate upgrades.
- Provide on-site training and support to other field engineers.
