Job summary

Savista in Phoenix, AZ is looking for a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign/sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and physician billing. You may validate APC calculations and ensure compliant coding practices.

You will interact with client staff, maintain confidentiality, and stay current with coding guidelines, regulations, and continuing education. AHIMA or AAPC credentials and 2 years coding experience are required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• CREDENTIALS: AHIMA or AAPC certifications as listed.
• Two years of coding experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, and coding sets.
• Ability to code at 95% quality while meeting client Savista standards.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for various patient types (e.g., hospital, clinic).
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC/E&M codes reflecting diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures for billing and compliance.
• Serve as a resource for client staff on data integrity and compliant coding practices.
• Maintain patient and provider confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista meetings, trainings, and calls.
• Stay current with ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, coding guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain credentials.
