Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and capture high-quality images for interpretation. The role requires proficiency with ultrasound equipment, adherence to HIPAA, and ability to work across sites as needed.

Key duties include operating US equipment, maintaining image quality, utilizing EMR/PACS/DICOM, and supporting coverage needs with flexible scheduling. Prior certification and ARRT/ARDMS credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate degree preferred.
• Completion of ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification is expected where applicable.
• 1-2 years ultrasound experience and ability to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and obtain quality images for interpretation.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and communicate results to physicians.
• Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems.
• Cover shifts as needed and participate in ongoing site competencies.
