Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist for our Jacksonville, FL facilities. The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, preparing high-quality images, and communicating results to physicians.

The technologist will work with EMR/PACS/DICOM systems, maintain HIPAA compliance, and participate in ongoing education with leadership oversight. Candidates should have ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification, CPR/BLS, and 1–2 years of ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification required
• Associate's Degree preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for interpretation by physicians
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment with aseptic technique
• Communicate findings to physicians or radiologists
• Train and orient new technologists as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and complete annual trainings
