Job summary

Akumin in Tampa is hiring a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and provide high-quality images for interpretation. The role requires flexibility to cover shifts as needed and to communicate findings to radiologists and physicians.

Qualified candidates have ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification, 1–2 years of ultrasound experience, and an associate degree or higher. CPR/BLS is required, with ACLS where applicable, and the position may involve working at multiple Akumin

• 1–2 years ultrasound experience.
• HS diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations.
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and generate high-quality images.
• Identify normal/abnormal results and summarize for physicians.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to policies.
• Train staff and participate in site competencies.
• Flexibility to cover PRN shifts and respond to coverage requests.
