Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist at our St Pete facility. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, generate high‑quality images, and communicate findings to physicians while ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Flexibility to cover shifts as needed is essential. The role requires ARRT and/or ARDMS credentials, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and proficiency with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification required.
• Strong patient care and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for interpretation by physicians.
• Produce high-quality images and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain sanitation and safety protocols and patient confidentiality.
• Coordinate with staff and physicians; respond promptly to per‑diem coverage requests.
• Maintain proficiency in EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems.
