Job summary

Akumin in South Florida is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and produce high-quality images for interpretation. The role supports coverage across multiple facilities, with flexibility to respond to per-diem requests and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient care.

Qualifications include ARRT (S) or ARDMS, CPR/BLS, 1–2 years ultrasound experience, and ability to travel to several locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification required.
• CPR/BLS (AHA/ARC); ACLS where applicable.
• 1–2 years ultrasound experience.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Strong customer service, organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and produce high-quality images for interpretation.
• Operate ultrasound equipment with sterile technique and maintain equipment.
• Communicate results summaries to physicians or health professionals.
• Train and orient new technologists as needed and support site education.
• Provide per-diem coverage and remain flexible for shifts as needed.
