Job summary

Akumin seeks a PRN Ultrasound Technologist for our South Florida facilities. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensure high-quality images, and communicate findings to radiologists.

Flexibility to cover shifts as needed and maintain proficiency with ultrasound equipment and EMR systems is required. Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of ultrasound experience, ARRT (S) and/or ARDMS certification, and a valid driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 year Ultrasound experience recommended.
• ARRT(S) and/or ARDMS certification required; CPR/BLS/AHA or ARC as applicable.
• Valid driver's license if required by location.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams to obtain diagnostic images of high quality.
• Identify normal/abnormal findings and communicate results to physicians.
• Maintain equipment, sterile technique, and EMR/PACS/DICOM proficiency.
• Train and orient new technologists; assist with site competencies and coverage.
