Job summary

Akumin seeks a PRN Ultrasound Technologist for its South Florida facilities. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensure high-quality images, and communicate results to radiologists.

The role requires flexibility to cover shifts as needed across multiple sites, with emphasis on patient-centered care and compliance with regulatory standards. Qualified candidates have ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification, 1–2 years of ultrasound experience, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for medical interpretation.
• Identify normal and abnormal findings and communicate results to physicians.
• Maintain equipment, aseptic technique, and image quality per policies.
• Proficient with EMR, PACS, and DICOM for image sharing.
• Collaborate with staff and leadership; cover shifts as needed.
