Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist for our St. Petersburg, FL facility. The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and company policies. You may cover multiple sites as needed and must be able to respond promptly to coverage requests.

The position requires ARRT(S) or ARDMS credentials, CPR/BLS, and 1–2 years of ultrasound experience. Flexible scheduling and per-diem shifts are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification is required or preferred as stated.

Responsibilities

• Administer high-frequency ultrasound exams to obtain diagnostic images.
• Demonstrate competency with ultrasound equipment and maintain sterile technique.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; communicate results to physicians.
• Train and orient new technologists as needed.
