Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Boardman, OR is seeking a PRN Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform assessments, plan and deliver respiratory therapies, and evaluate patient responses in collaboration with the care team.

You will document care, educate patients and families, operate respiratory equipment, and participate in training and safety protocols. Licensing and NBRC credentialing are required or preferred, with BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• This role requires licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state.
• NBRC credentialing is required.
• Ambulatory or acute care experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials preferred at hire or obtain after start.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans.
• Perform therapies per physician orders and adapt based on patient response.
• Document care accurately in the medical record and follow infection control policies.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and home care options.
• Set up and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies.
• May precept new staff or students and participate in team training.
