Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Respiratory Care Practitioner II at West Hospital. The role covers patient assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation of respiratory therapies. You will assist physicians, monitor responses and ensure safe delivery of oxygen, aerosols and ventilator care.

Requirements include 2 years’ experience, NBRC credential, state license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and a valid driver’s license. Benefits and scheduling support are provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional required.
• Bachelor's Degree or related field preferred in Respiratory Therapy/Health care/Healthcare Admin.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of work (required).
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (required).
• Driver's license (required for Home Care/DME).

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care through assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.
• Deliver oxygen and aerosolized medications, ventilator care and bronchial hygiene therapy.
• Monitor patient response and adjust therapies as needed.
• Serve as Charge Therapist to ensure staffing coverage.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy and airway management.
• Instruct patients and families in therapies and home care.
• Perform arterial punctures and ABG analysis; interpret results.
