Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at St. Francis Medical Center. This PRN role delivers comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, airway support, and patient education, across the care continuum.

The role requires an active Respiratory Care License, NBRC credential, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; two years of RCP experience and strong communication are essential for efficient shift operations and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to Respiratory Therapy or Healthcare preferred.
• NBRC credential required or in progress.
• RRT preferred; active state license required per location.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders, including assessments, planning, and interventions.
• Supervise shift as Charge Therapist ensuring staff coverage and assigning tasks.
• Perform CPR and manage airway support, ventilator care and bronchoscopy-related assistance.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and inhaler techniques.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and document care actions.
