Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Lima, Ohio, seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner I for St. Rita's Medical Center. The role involves delivering respiratory therapies, monitoring patient responses, and educating patients and families.

Must hold a state license and NBRC credential, with BLS required and ACLS/PALS preferred. The practitioner will assess and adjust therapies, operate and maintain equipment, and collaborate with physicians to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree related to Respiratory Therapy required.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state they are working required.
• NBRC credentialed required.
• BLS Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen/medication delivery and ventilator care.
• Assess patients, plan and adjust therapy based on response and physician orders.
• Instruct patients and families on therapy use and safety.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and supplies.
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy when needed.
• Document findings and patient response in the EHR.
