Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III for a PRN (as needed) role in Youngstown, Ohio. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care across ICU, general care, and outpatient settings.

The position emphasizes clinical leadership, mentorship, and participation in quality improvement projects. A current state license and NBRC credential are required or preferred, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Competency in multiple care environments (NICU, ICU, ED, or general care).
• Current respiratory license and NBRC credentialed.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred; must obtain before direct patient care.
• Valid driver’s license for Home Care/DME.

Responsibilities

• Mentor staff and provide clinical rounds and performance feedback.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and clinical research undertakings.
• Participate in facility councils and committees.
• Serve as Charge Therapist to ensure staffing and coverage.
• Assess, plan, treat, and evaluate patient care with interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient charts and maintain policies and procedures.
• Educate patients on cardiopulmonary diseases and therapies.
